Bamboo Cotton Swabs

Plastic cotton bud stems are a light plastic, meaning they float on the water's surface. This alongside their small shape means they make their way through sewage treatment centers and out into marine environments through regular sewage outfalls.

This is an issue because these plastic pieces end up in our oceans. We made bamboo cotton buds to replace these.

Materails: Moso Bamboo and cotton 

End of Life:  Paperboard packaging is recyclable or compostable. Bamboo and cotton can go in your compost bin!

Fun fact: Moso Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on Earth. At some stages of it’s growth cycle, it grows a meter per day!
